Meet Dr. Cotton

Dr. Cotton is a nationally recognized child health expert, spokesperson, and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is passionate about advocating for the early detection and management of physical and developmental problems in children.
Through his work, Dr. Cotton has made significant contributions to the field of child health and has helped to improve the lives of countless children and families.

Some of his notable achievements was working with the Miami Children’s Hospital Haiti Medical Relief Team where he was voluntarily deployed after the 2010 devastating earthquake to provide assistance demonstrates a selfless commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

As a spokesperson, Dr. Cotton often represents the American Academy of Pediatrics in the media and at public events, advocating for policies and programs that support children’s health and well-being. Dr. Cotton is a highly accomplished and board-certified pediatrician with a wide range of experience in the healthcare field. He works in the Emergency Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, caring for children with urgent medical needs, and also runs his own private practice, where he provides regular check-ups, chronic condition management, and preventative care.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cotton is passionate about teaching and shares his knowledge and expertise with medical students at Nova Southeastern University (NSU).

Dr. Cotton is also a well-known media personality, having provided medical expertise and commentary for Univision and CNN.
